Diagnosing Problems
-
"The solution to our problem seems so obvious. Why hasn’t it worked?"
-
"How can we be certain what is causing our problem?"
-
"If someone else in addition to HR must approve spending money to solve this
problem, won’t they need a business case before they will agree to the
project?"
HRC is different
HRC’s consultants are experienced using the tools and techniques that ferret
root problems. Often clients come to us with problems they have tried to fix
themselves, but have failed to solve. Our experience tells us that this is
often caused by two things:
-
The client doesn’t understand what is at the root of the problem, and/or
-
The client does not have the tools or know-how necessary to structure a
solution that will fix the problem.
So what? Who cares? HR’s lack of evidence
Often the evidence for HR problems is anecdotal or missing altogether. HR
typically struggles with defining appropriate and meaningful measures to
quantify the value their function adds to an organization – let alone define
the impact of HR problems. If there is no evidence, is there really a
problem?
No guessing; no surprises.
At HRC we believe that we have an obligation to know about key elements of
successfully solving your problem, including:
-
The root problems our work must solve,
-
The criteria those solutions must meet, and
-
How you will measure the successful outcome of the project.
HRC can help you define the root of your people problems, and develop the
evidence necessary to make the sound business decisions to solve those
problems, by conducting a diagnostic study of the
issues causing your organization pain.
